Overview

Challenge

Challenge

The primary challenge was to develop a brand identity that captured Studio 116's refined architectural approach while remaining versatile across both physical and digital applications. The identity needed to feel understated yet distinctive, translating the studio's focus on restraint, precision, and material sensitivity into a visual system that could seamlessly integrate with its interiors.

Solution

The solution was a minimal and responsive identity system inspired by architectural principles. A restrained palette of neutral tones, dark accents, and clean typography creates a calm yet confident visual presence. The introduction of a flexible naming system—transitioning from "Studio116" to "S116"—allows the identity to adapt naturally to different formats while maintaining consistency and recognition. Every visual element was designed to feel like a continuation of the studio's spaces, emphasizing timelessness, precision, and subtle sophistication.

Process

The design process began with understanding Studio 116's philosophy of creating refined residential environments through simplicity and material awareness. This informed the development of a visual system centered on contrast, rhythm, and editorial precision. Typography became the foundation of the identity, supported by a muted color palette and carefully balanced compositions.

Final Thoughts

Conclusion

Conclusion

The final identity positions Studio 116 as a contemporary interior architecture practice that values clarity, craftsmanship, and enduring design. Rather than competing for attention through visual excess, the system communicates confidence through restraint and thoughtful composition. The result is a timeless brand identity that strengthens the studio's presence while serving as a natural extension of the architectural spaces it creates.

FAQ

A few things worth knowing before we start.

Have a project in mind?

Let’s talk about it.

How does the retainer actually work?

You get a monthly block of studio hours and a request queue. We work one request at a time (two on Pro), send progress every 48 hours, and revise until it's right. No scoping calls for every task — you brief, we build.

What's the difference between Standard and Pro?

Hours and speed. Pro carries 70 hours to Standard's 45, runs two requests in parallel, gets priority scheduling, and includes a monthly shoot day in-studio.

Can I pause my retainer?

Anytime. Unused days roll over, and you resume exactly where you left off. There's no minimum term.

What if the first month isn't working out?

If the first week doesn't deliver, the rest of the month is refunded. We'd rather earn the retainer than hold you to it.

Do you work with remote clients?

Yes — most projects run fully remote with weekly review calls. Shoots happen in our studio or on location; product can be shipped to us.

What do we receive at handover?

Everything: source files, brand guidelines, edited imagery, editable templates, and a walkthrough call with your team. The goal is that you don't need us for daily work.
